Catching Up and New Finds

Good Afternoon!

Just a quick note - My Etsy store is UP...and even has things listed! (oohhh...ahhhh) Its taken me forever - mainly because I hate *listing* things. It should be a fairly fast process, but I somehow manage to take a half hour to list one thing. ...its a special talent that I possess :)

I still have A LOT to add, more pencil cups, knit/crochet dishcloths, cards, you'll see. :) It still needs some tweaking, but its started! Hurray!

On the topic of Etsy, look what I found after reading Vintage Pleasure this morning: dottieangel Her shop is AWESOME! Its one of the few shops where I've looked at EVERY. SINGLE. thing. I'm very jealous of whoever bought this slip How cute is that? And her full slips are georgous! And this bag ...or any bag :)

Mother's Day Chicken

Let's face it, I take too many pictures. No seriously....TOO many pictures.

I rarely get them printed because I have to go through 10 almost identical shots to pick the ONE I want. So today I forced myself to sit down and go through the pictures I took on Mother's Day, delete the ones I don't want, edit a few, etc.

My photo editing program sucks, but I gave it a shot anyway. I ended up with a few I was actually fairly happy with...even though I still HATE the program. ;)

These were taken out at my aunt's house Sunday afternoon. We all went out, ate, played with the baby sheep (yes, lambs, but we just call them baby sheep because Zach doesn't get the same species/different name concept) My cousins and boyfriends of cousins spent most of the afternoon pushing Zach on his tractor, he got to hold a chicken, and even pet the sheep...as long as they didn't look at him! It was georgous out, and Zach had a blast. Good day.

Guess its time for another post...

Ignoring the fact that its been...well over a month since my first (and...uh...last) posting, I officially got a comment! =) *gasp!* (thanks for stopping molly!) So now, I feel obligated to add SOMETHING before the post/comment ratio is thrown off. Because then that wouldn't be a blog. ...I'm not sure what it would be, let's not worry about that.


On the "stuff I made" topic, I sat down Tuesday and Wednesday with the goal of making some Mother's Day cards. After a good hour of sitting, shuffling papers and embellishments, I finally got inspired and found a combination I was happy with. I made 2 variations, and was pretty darn happy to actually accomplish something after months of scrappers block.


Feeling quite inspired, I was excited to share my new project with my blog. But darn, camera batteries are dead, hmmm.... Ah! I'll scan them! ...bad idea. After much editing, they still...look like crap. So bear with me, trust that they aren't as hideous as they scanned. They're actually a very nice soft orange, aqua, green combination that looks much (MUCH) better in person.
